I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
