Nearly twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast found themselves experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the state, bringing powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.

Large Ice Stones and Widespread Destruction

Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities verified that different parts across the state had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Damp conditions were predicted to continue along large portions of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coast.

Tomorrow was predicted as the most rainy day, with persistent severe weather risk expected across different parts of both areas.

Public health experts alerted that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
